Με μία ιδιαίτερη αναφορά στην Κατερίνα Στεφανίδη και τον Μίλτο Τεντόγλου τους χαρακτήρισε ως «τους κορυφαίους αθλητές που έχει αναδείξει ποτέ ο ελληνικός αθλητισμός».

«Αφού πλέον ολοκληρώθηκε το πανευρωπαϊκό πρωτάθλημα Στίβου στο Μόναχο, για ένα πράγμα είμαι σίγουρος.
Ότι ο Ελληνικός Στίβος πέρα από μεγάλους αθλητές έχει αθλητές με ήθος, ισορροπημένη προσωπικότητα, αλλά και ευπρέπεια.
Διότι οι κορυφαίοι αθλητές δεν προσδιορίζονται μόνο από τα μετάλλια.
Το διακρίνεις από τις δηλώσεις μετά των αγώνα τους, από το πάθος τους για ένα καλό αποτέλεσμα μέσα στον αγωνιστικό χώρο, άλλα και το πως χαίρονται με την χαρά του συναθλητή τους.
Αντιγόνη πολλά πολλά συγχαρητήρια υπερήφανοι όλοι για σένα για αυτόν τον άθλο που κατάφερες .
Ελίνα εύχομαι να είσαι υγιής και αυτό το μετάλλιο είναι μόνο η αρχή.. Μπράβο!

Πρώτον γιατί πλέον μπορούμε να μιλάμε για τους δύο καλύτερους Έλληνες Αθλητές που έχει βγάλει ποτέ ο Ελληνικός Αθλητισμός, και δεύτερον γιατί προέρχεστε από την οικογένεια του Στίβου μας .P.S Οι επιτυχίες των αθλητών μας είναι αποκλειστικά αυτών, των προπονητών τους και των οικογενειών τους , όπως ήταν πάντα… Όλοι οι υπόλοιποι σιωπηλά και με σεβασμό, οφείλουμε ανιδιοτελώς να ‘’υπηρετούμε’’ και να διευκολύνουμε την προσπάθεια που κάνουν προς τον στόχο τους.
